I have a recurring dream where I’m trying to squeeze the life out of a shape-shifting opponent. It’s a frustration dream; I can never make my partner submit. If I loosen my grip, I find myself being overtaken. Either I or my consort will typically start whispering things like “I love you” as we suffocate each other.
